Thank you Sir" the lady walked away from the prophet. The prophet was alarmed; fifteen thousand naira cannot be shared by three beggars.    "Young woman, since you're a youth, your alms should be given to young people like you" he said and walked away slowly.    "Thank you sir" The lady did as she was told, she dipped her hands inside the bag and gave the money to the two young beggars. **************************************** "Bad mastermind, baddest guy alive" Uche was hailing the prophet who was smiling. The street was empty and narrow, two beggars sat at the extreme end of the street, their face shows anticipation of a certain thing they are expecting. A young lady holding her handbag possessively, in the hand bag was thirty thousand naira for the purchase of 0'level examination and runs..... Suddenly, a young preacher with the looks of prophet Jeroboam busts out from the corner down the street; he was shouting and sweating with a brownish-white garment cloth that reminds the world of the time of Jesus. "Repent, the end is near" "The messiah will be back like a thief at night" he preached the gospel in a loud throaty voice; every sentence was stamped with the sound of a bell. The sound brought out the people of the street out of their homes; it was unusual for such occurrence. "Do away with the things of the past" "Drop the things of the world and carry the cross" he continued. By the time he was few meters away from the lady coming ...

Lagos dudes . S2E1

It's been five days since we left the house of the Bankoles , it was not a terrible days  per se; Uche and I slept in a church very close to our Old street. The pastor was wonderful, he called himself a prophet; i see him as a psyche who predict problem according to status. The serves us both spiritual food and physical food on two conditions; we must act as disable human beings. Uche became a homeless blind man who was healed by the pastor, I was healed on the wheelchair. The church also serves as shelter and our miracle seeking congregation always give us alms which was also shared between the pastor and us. Mohammed finds solace in a nearby Mosque where he helped the Imam. Religion centers are fast way of making money. "I don buy that shop wey dey nearby" Mohammed told us. Mohammed was the only one to utilize the money in the bank. The shop he bought was from a mallam who decides to leave the life of struggle in Lagos the life of farming in his village. The shop ser...

Hope

Hope, a key; something we have all forget.....the nation is sinking, youths are drowning, the nation is burning, our youths are running. The ran, never to come back: what is the future of the nation? Our water, mothers  breast; our first food is laced with corruption, our thoughts is money. Yorubas don't trust each other; everybody is playing smart. Igbos will rather steal than beg, hausas are dogmatic as ever. Which way forward? Our youths lost hope in working with their hands; they shut their heart and work with their brain.... Frauds! The hope of an average Nigerian. We lay abuses on bad governance, we claim the queen is inflicting pain on the subjects,. Have u seen the mirror today? Democracy starts with you...... Where is our hope? Where is the spirit of patriotism? Let's move Nigeria forward.....

Lagos dudes; the chase

On Friday afternoon, I was in the sitting room with Bisola. We were studying together. Her parent with sister left the house for a party. 30minutes after they left, we proceed to her room; this time the romance turned into sex. We had someone cough. ************************************************************************************* It was her sister; she came in to change her change her cloths. “Am sorry” she said and left the room. I heard voices in the house; it was the chief and my boss. I left her room when the voices die down. I called Mohammed from is post at the gate to the room, I told them what happened and we decided to pack our bags. Just as we are packing, we had the chief call out our names; the rage in his voice speaks trouble. “You bastard” he pointed his cutlass towards us “Pack your things and leave my house!” he barked. We dash into the room and pack the bags. He came into the room and threw our bags out. We gather the bags and the cloths slowly on the floor until h...
