fuel subsidy

A removal that change lives,
The queen bee afflicts pain in her hive,
The agony of a trapped air,
The city is flooded with tears.

Silence from the talkative; radio,
No movement to and fro,
The city suffer in agony,
For their trusted is now the enemy.

An epidemic,
That kills all activities,
It spread like harmatan fire,
The city smell of burn tires,
A depression to the soul,
Like a melancholy music.

Citizens welcome their ride,
They trek with their pride,
The city is wrecking,
Sound of civil war looming.

Hard citizens awaits the 'khakis'
A uniform that kills,
To rule their city again,
'Democracy is full of pain',
They say.

The leader speaks of trust,
Protagonist,
Antagonist,
Every man fights for his mouth,
A fight of pride.

Forest conservation their foot!
Citizen results to deforestation,
The rain of fire on all unlucky wood

The city road is now a stadium,
All links are now check point,
Masquerade in January?
The citizens need money.

Their leader's name is called the opposite,
Citizen mine the pits,
For food on their table,
City market is closed,
Alas! Silo is getting dry,
Citizen looks up to the sky,
They awaits their creator,
For his divine intervention.

They protest,
War written on their chest,
All for two words;
Fuel subsidy.
